Our counselling practice provides a nurturing space for you to explore what’s happening in your life and how to move forward in a way that works best for you.

A fully qualified Clinical Counsellor, Lynda has extensive experience working with adults, adolescents, young adults, families and parents.

She works with issues of anxiety, depression, anger, relationship and friendship difficulties, grief and loss, work-life balance, family trauma, illness, behavioural issues, bullying, school refusal, academic support and emotional regulation.

Drawing on a range of counselling modalities, Lynda takes a highly individualised approach. Her counselling and therapy is tailored to the person’s personality, interests and life stage, in a way that is appropriate to what may be troubling them.

Problems and the pathways to positive change may be explored through talking, drawing, writing, mind-mapping, body awareness, music and story telling. Along the way there is warmth and understanding, and usually some light-hearted moments, encouraged by Lynda’s gentle sense of humour.

Counselling appointments can be In-person or Online. Or a mix of both, depending on what works best for you. Walk and Talk Therapy is also offered.

After years working in private practice Lynda understands how to make counselling feel safe, encouraging and purposeful. She creates a warm, collaborative environment where people look forward to their appointments. And know their time with Lynda will always be tailored to them and the challenges and opportunities they face in their inner and outer world.

Having also worked extensively in school environments, Lynda understands it is important for young people to feel safe and unconditionally supported within a caring counselling relationship that is encouraging and totally confidential. But this holds true for every person who makes the important step to seek therapy.

Over the years Lynda has worked as a creative developer and writer of behavioural change communications, including TV advertising and social media aimed at keeping people safer on our roads, and in workplaces.

Her styles of work include Person-Centred Counselling, Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy.
